1.Can Endoinspectâ„Ē be used with arthroscopic shaver handpieces? Yes.

The Endoinspect is designed to visually inspect the lumens and shaver handpiece.

Arthrex IFU: “Check device for visible soil. It is recommended that the cannulation be inspected with an illuminated, magnifying scope. Clean the device using the guidelines for manual cleaning if any soil is visible.”

Stryker IFU: “Visually inspect the handpiece, including all internal surfaces, for remaining soil. If soil remains, repeat the manual cleaning procedure, focusing on those areas.”

2.Can I add a different borescope in the future?

Yes, adding a new borescope onto the Endoinspectâ„Ē System is very easy. Simply plug the new borescope into the system right out of the box and you are ready to use.

3.How do you clean the Endoinspectâ„Ē?

  • Endoinspectâ„Ē scope shafts, base units & handle components are cleaned by wipe-down method only with the fluids & methods listed below.
  • All Endoinspectâ„Ē fiberscope and videoscope shafts (insertion lengths only / not including scope handles) are splash-proof and wipe-able / cleanable with the following list of cleaners / HLD’s (high level disinfectants)

a. IPA (isopropyl alcohol / preferred) b. Cidex OPA (preferred)
c. Glutharaldehyde
d. Natural detergents / solutions
e. Hydrogen Peroxide (up to and including 3% concentration)

4.Can you get the Endoinspectâ„Ē wet?

Yes, all Endoinspectâ„Ē borescopes are IP68 Rated (sealed / protected against submersion in water
more than 1 meter depth)

5.Is the ENDOINSPECTâ„Ē easy to use?

The Endoinspectâ„Ē requires virtually no set up. Just plug it in and you are ready to use. The Endoinspectâ„Ē does not require a PC and software to be installed or separate LCD displays. The Endoinspectâ„Ē can be operated by anyone within minutes.

6.Is visual inspection with a borescope required?

ANSI/AAMI, AORN, IAHCSMM, SGNA, The CDC and some manufacturers IFU’s recommend that visual inspection using a borescope is used to inspect lumens and cannulated instruments.
